The overall objective of DRIInC’s research is to improve yield and quality of milk from small holder dairy processors using a holistic approach and add value to locally produced milk to create innovative and safe foods for consumption. In line with this, DRIInC has three key research area foci:

  1. Dairy research into animal feed, forage, nutrition and health for improved yield and milk quality.
  2. Safe handling and processing of innovative dairy foods for human
  3. Value addition of dairy by-products for improved crop utilization

 

How we do research

Our research projects are either funded through grants or internally self funded with proceeds from our services.
