Our Training Programs

DRIInC has two training programs it runs throughout the year. In addition to these standard trainings DRIInC offeres tailored trainings to organizations in any of its areas of expertise.

Trainings we offer:

1. Holistic Dairy Production and Processing

This intensive 2 week training program offers a holistic program on dairy production and safe handling and processing of milk. In addition, there are topics on sensory testing, product development and quality control of milk and dairy products. This training is run once each year in January

 

2. Food and agro-processing for non-food scientists

This modular training course allows participants to pick and choose which modules are of interest to them. Participants have the option to choose any of the 7 modules. Each module runs between 1 and 3 days for full day sessions or half day sessions. Participants may choose to register for all training modules.

Module 1: Introduction to food preservation and processing
Module 2: Occupational health and safety in food processing plant operations
Module 3:Quality assurance and safety to facilitate food business registration process
Module 4: Consumer-led product development and targeted Marketing strategies
Module 5: Food Packaging, labelling and product shelf life determination
Module 6: Yoghurt production and processing of other Animal products
Module 7: Cultivating and processing vegetable seedlings commercially

Certificate of participation is given for all DRIInC trainings. Trainings are not accredited but acknowledged by the Food and Drugs Authority.
